Case study

Alpha Air Ambulance

Medical documentation and operations for urgent patient transport.

Alpha Air Ambulance coordinates medical transport when an ill or injured patient needs to be moved safely between hospitals, cities, or countries. The app digitized a critical part of that work: medical reports, report editing, patient status, movement updates, inventory, and branded PDF documentation.

Overview

Less manual work in a process where details matter.

In this kind of business, information has to be structured, available, and clear enough for teams taking over, monitoring, and handing over a patient. The app brings reports, clinical data, transport milestones, and operational inventory into one mobile system.

Patient information, diagnosis, route and date of transport.

Patient status: consciousness, airway, respiratory, circulatory and neurological fields.

Vitals rows with HR, blood pressure, SpO₂, respiratory rate, glucose, ECG rhythm, pain score and GCS.

Ventilation rows for mechanically ventilated patients.

Medication dosing and procedures performed.

Takeover/handover hospitals, crew names, final notes and branded PDF export.

My role

A mobile product for the medical and operations team.

The project was developed under Nordia Digital, where I was CEO and the only developer on the project. I built the React Native app, Firebase structure, Cloud Functions, modular medical report forms, edit flow, PDF generation, movement update logic, and inventory modules.

Operations

Movement updates for the mission.

The app supports operational movement messages through transport stages: aircraft took off to patient, patient taken over, ready for take-off, fuel stop, landed at destination, and safe handover. A movement can include case reference, patient name, route, parameters, and structured patient condition, making mission communication easier.

Business impact

Business impact

Instead of scattered notes, repeated manual writing, and documentation assembled after the fact, the client received a product that speeds up the administrative side of a mission and makes information more consistent. That matters in a business where time, accuracy, and trust are directly felt.

Key feature

A medical report that follows the whole transport.

Report creation was the core of the product. The team can document and later edit patient information, diagnosis, route, takeover and handover hospitals, vitals, ventilation, medications, procedures, transport recommendations, accompanying persons, and final notes — then generate a branded PDF from the data.
