Case study

Yacht Nest

Yacht procurement and service organized through one mobile and web system.

Yacht Nest is a platform for clients, suppliers, and administration in the yacht industry. A client creates an order for supplies or services, suppliers get a clear view of relevant requests, send offers, and admin approves fulfilment through a workflow with documents, chat, statuses, and push notifications.

Overview

From scattered requests to structured procurement.

In yacht operations, one request is rarely just a short message. It can include photos, PDF documentation, problem descriptions, delivery dates, location, order type, multiple suppliers, and internal communication. Yacht Nest puts all of that into one flow: the client requests supply or service, the supplier sees what they can handle, admin makes the decision, and the order status stays clear to everyone.

Three main roles: admin, suppliers, and clients.

Orders for yacht supply and yacht service across large category catalogs.

Supplier order views with filtering, sorting, search, and seen/unseen states.

Supplier request workflow — supplier sends an offer/request, admin accepts or declines.

PDF, image, and documentation uploads for faster order understanding.

In-app chat, support, notes/drafts, news, order IDs, and order statuses.

My role

Full-stack development of the web and mobile product.

The project was developed under Nordia Digital, where I was CEO and the only developer on the project. I built the React Native app, Next.js web app, Firebase structure, role-based access, orders, supplier requests, chat, document uploads, news, support, push notifications, and production logic.

Roles

Each role sees exactly what it needs.

The client does not need to understand the operational complexity behind the system — they choose supplies or services and send a request. The supplier gets a focused view of open orders they can filter by work area and status. Admin sees the bigger picture, manages users, approves supplier requests, and keeps the process under control.

Impact

Impact

Yacht Nest turns a chaotic procurement and service process into a digital operating system. Less information lives in WhatsApp messages, emails, and verbal agreements; more of it becomes searchable, structured, and available to the right person at the right moment.

Suppliers

A supplier workflow designed not to miss important orders.

For suppliers, clarity matters. The system remembers which orders they opened and which are still unseen, supports grouped requests for multiple orders, lets them add a message and attachment, and keeps communication fast through chat. Push notifications help urgent requests avoid getting buried.
